175 Joint Personnel Deployed to Supervise Entertainment Venues Along Ramadhan

As many as 175 joint officers will supervise the operational of entertainment venues starting today, Friday (6/27). The venues which caught violating operational hours during fasting month of Ramadhan will be sanctioned. From 1,799 entertainment venues, 898 of them must be closed down throughout Ramadhan.

“Those joint personnel consist of 30 City Police officers, 10 Tourism and Culture Department officers, 10 Board of Nation Unity and Politics (Bakesbangpol) officers, 75 Jakarta Satpol PP personnel, 50 municipal Satpol PP personnel. They we will conduct supervision starting today,” stated Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, Kukuh Hadi Santoso, at City Hall, Friday (6/27).
Stadium Discotheque Management will be Examined SoonAccording to Santoso, those joint personnel will conduct supervision every night by exploring the locations of entertainment venues. Each venue will be taped with a sticker that indicates whether the place is forbidden or not to be operated along Ramadhan. The sticker taping will be symbolically conducted in four entertainment venues, namely Sun City, Paragon, V2, and Linda Traditional Message Parlor, which all located in Mangga Besar, West Jakarta.

The entertainment venues that must be closed down during Ramadhan are night clubs, discotheques, steam bath, massage parlors, chip machines, and night bars. As for the entertainment venues which operational hours regulated, such as karaoke, live music, and billiard, they can only open starting 8.30 PM until 1.30 AM.
